We’re honored to have the support to continue weaving and deepening our relationship to the self and to each other; to Mabilong weavers and our community in the Bay Area. As we steward the traditional craft of weaving as taught by our master artist, Jenny, and the Bawer family, we hope to see future generations of weavers (Kalinga and non-Kalinga) proliferate.

The Alliance for California Traditional Arts, the administering organization for the California Arts Council’s Folk and Traditional Arts Grant Program, awarded 98 grants to individuals and organizations totaling $850,000. It’s the largest group of grantees in the history of ACTA’s Living Cjultures Grant Program, which seeks to sustain and strengthen traditional arts in the state of California.
